A life shaped by place
Sophie Shrestha’s paintings are born from the landscapes that have shaped her. First the vivid, mountain-lined world of Kathmandu, and now the wild, weathered beauty of County Kerry.
Sophie’s work blends the colour, stillness, and symbolism of her years in Nepal with the soft light , shifting skies, and grounded quiet of rural Ireland. Each canvas becomes a meeting point between these two homes.
Two Worlds, One Practice
Working from her studio in Kerry, where she lives with her husband and four daughters, Sophie paints what surrounds her. The changing seasons, coastal air, garden colour, and the small, everyday moments that root a life in place.
